Finance Assistant
Support the Finance team by managing AP, AR, and reporting to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and excellence across the Group’s operations and strategic goals.
Position Overview
Forming part of the Accounting Function in Finance, supporting robust management of the Group’s Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Business Partner reporting and ensuring robust financial operations across the organization. The role is crucial in establishing a high-performing finance function that balances financial integrity, compliance, and operational excellence. The Accounts Assistant will be a subject matter expert supporting this integral element of the company’s overarching strategic and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Executing day-to-day accounting duties (posting invoices, procurement and payments).
- Performing reconciliations and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions in relation to bank accounts
- Assisting with month-end process leading to the submission of the monthly management accounts and other reports needed by the business including preparation for reviews of business partnering packs sufficient to be the financial decision-making basis for financial reporting, ensuring financial compliance with local and international standards
- Support aspects of the delivery of the Group’s external audits resolving any issues that arise.
- Maintain compliance with internal control requirements, and other relevant standards.
- An important element of the role is communicating with different stakeholders within Business units in-country, and in organizations across Europe and the Rest of the World, as well as with European management.
- Propose and support implementation of process and control standardization and improvement initiatives.
- Propose and support implementation of ad hoc project and finance transformation activities.
Requirements
- Partly qualified candidates, will be considered but need to hold a
minimum A- level in Accountancy - General accounting experience that is demonstrably relevant to the role between 2-4 years outside of Audit is essential (candidates with eGaming or financial service industries experience are preferred but not essential).
- Demonstrable experience of working on financial operations and/or accounting in multiple jurisdictions is desirable
- Knowledge of using multiple accounting packages or ERP’s is desirable.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel;
- Good written and verbal English language skills essential.
