Corporate IT Manager
Join us as a Corporate IT Manager! Lead Silverspin's transition to an in-house IT capability, collaborating with the Head of IT and stakeholders to build a robust, independent IT infrastructure.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Head of IT and working closely with stakeholders across Silverspin together with our existing service provider the Corporate IT Manager will be responsible for Silverspin building its own Corporate IT capability and transition from our current service provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for all corporate back-office IT infrastructure and end-user computing needs for 300+ people across various offices including Malta, Sweden, Philippines, and Isle of Man.

Establishing and leading Silverspin new internal Corporate IT capability to be self-sufficient in:
- Day-to-day operations of the back-office IT infrastructure including networking, servers, applications, storage, virtualisation, security, Cloud PaaS, and SaaS services
- Day-to-day technical 1st and 2nd line support
- Execution of IT related projects and operations
- Proactive development of IT policies and processes to support the business strategy
- Analysis of business requirements to evaluate and deliver IT needs
- Development of network, server and security infrastructure and issue resolution
- IT budget, purchasing, and cost control
- IT training across the Group, including GenAI adoption
- End User computing support for a range or corporate, development and creative users - Development and implementation of the Migration Plan from the existing IT service provider, including the provision of status updates as may be requested from time to time
- Identifying the need for, hiring, development and leadership of talent required to provide the Corporate IT capability
- Identifying the need for and the procurement of all relevant services to provide the Corporate IT capability
- Management of the IT contracts including subscriptions and maintenance renewals
- Collaboration with partner teams in other territories such as Philippines, Canada and Ukraine
- Development and implementation of the Corporate IT strategic plan ensuring it remains fit for purpose during the Group’s growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Corporate IT Manager or similar role
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
- Solid understanding of server and network requirements for a complex software development environment
- Experience of managing an IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
- Ability to identify and spec appropriate desktop and end-user equipment, balancing performance, cost and reliability
- Pragmatic approach between self-hosting and outsourced/cloud solutions
- Experience in managing an IT budget
- Strong track record as an IT leader who has grown and developed teams
- Experienced negotiator, dealing with multiple departments and vendors
- Excellent stakeholder management up to C-level
- Ability to work under-pressure in a fast-paced environment and deliver on time and to budget
- Good experience with one of the main Cloud Platforms: GCP, Azure or AWS
- Confidence in use of AI tools, understanding of the impact on employee efficiency and the future of work.
- Desktop operating systems: knowledge of both Windows and MacOS, including management and administration or high degree of comfort with both
- Comprehensive understanding of networking, switching, firewalls, Wi-Fi, site-to-site, and user VPNs.
- Desired experience with Juniper and Palo Alto.
- Be conversant with modern security requirements and processes. Ability to identify security threats and measures taken to mitigate such threats.
- Identity management, Azure, Active Directory, LDAP, Okta (or similar), SAML
- Productivity suites: Office 365. Including good understanding of security and data protection features
- Very good understanding of Audio-visual conferencing, setup and management at scale
